What time does the naíonra start?

Will my child have lunch in the Naíonra?

Should I put spare clothes in my child’s bag?

Will my child be sitting all day?

What time should I collect my child?

There are two sessions in the Naíonra.

Grúpa 1: A member of staff from the Naíonra will open the small gate at 8.30rn. To comply with the school rules, parents are not permitted to come in through the pedestrian gate until it is opened by a member of staff from the Naíonra or from the school.

Grúpa 2: We recommend Grúpa 2 do not come in the pedestrian gate before 11.30am to allow the children from Grúpa 1 a chance to leave.

Your child will require a small healthy snack/lunch while attending the Naíonra. E.g. sandwich, a piece of fruit or veg etc. The following are NOT permitted in the Naíonra: Sweets, Chocolate, Nuts, Crisps or Chewing Gum. A drink is NOT required.

Spare clothes are not required but if your child prefers to wear their own clothes we are more than happy for you to put these in their bag.

We do have spare clothes in the Naíonra and should your child come home in Naíonra clothes, please wash them and return them to us!

Your child will not be sitting all day. There is a lot of free play in the Naíonra. We have an emergent and inquiry based curriculum through the medium of play, Montessori, art, music and nature.

We do encourage the children to sit at lunch times and at circle time to help them with their transition into school.

Grúpa 1: Naíonra finishes for Grúpa 1 at 11.30am and therefore you should be at the Naíonra door before this time to collect your child.

Grúpa 2: Naíonra finishes for Grúpa 2 at 2.30pm and therefore you should be at the Naíonra door before this time to collect your child.
